Welcome
Welcome to the West Texas Section of the ARRL website. Our goal is to provide timely and pertinent information to amateur radio operators in the West Texas area and for anyone who may visit.
The world of amateur radio is changing and evolving, new digital modes are being developed and used for DXing, Contesting and Emergency Communications. Our frequency landscape is changing as more and more demands for use are being made. Frequencies that we have used for years are being reallocated for commercial use. Frequencies we have secondary allocations of use of are being recalled by the primary users. The ARRL is our advocate for spectrum defense to Congress and the FCC.
On this website you will find information for new hams, local ham radio club information, repeater information, training and event information, emergency communication and general information nets.
We are always open to suggestions on how to make this Section website better for you the user. Please let us know how we are doing.
